Salary: R 347 189 .97 – R 436 706.30 per annum

Duties and responsibilities:

• Manage service managers and their cleaning staff.
• Manage cleaning material and equipment.
• General administrative tasks.
• Perform ad hoc tasks.
• Provide in-service training when necessary.
• Responsible for quality inspections and compiling of reports in UFS residences.
• Manage inventories in all accommodation categories.
• Manage other specific ad hoc tasks.
• Ensure compliance with OHS Act.
• Report and follow up maintenance requests.
• Manage and perform tasks with regard to conferences.
• Manage inventories and cleaning equipment in residences.
• Manage time register and leave of cleaning staff.
• Daily inspections in residences.
• Maintain good work discipline among cleaning staff to ensure a high standard of cleaning.

Inherent requirements: 

• A bachelor’s degree on NQF level 7 or a 3-year National Diploma on NQF level 6 in hospitality management or closely related field (e.g. cleaning management).
• A minimum of 2 years’ experience in the hospitality industry.

• Background in and understanding of a colour-coded cleaning system, e.g. All Care colour coding system.
• Knowledge of all Housing and Residence Affairs policies.
• Valid driver’s licence.
