Tomorrow Trust: Bursary Programme 2021/2022

The Tomorrow Trust are inviting Postgraduate students to apply for their bursary programme. Students who are registered and accepted to study towards an Honours Degree, in one of these fields may apply:

  • Agriculture
  • Commerce
  • Information Technology
  • Law
  • Science

Requirements:

Applicants must satisfy the following minimum entry criteria before applying (please note that failure to satisfy all the requirements will lead to your application not being considered):

  • Must be a South African citizen
  • Must be registered and accepted to study full time, within one of the aforementioned fields
  • Must be registered and accepted to start your first Honours or Postgraduate qualification (NOT Masters or PhD studies)
  • Must have completed an undergraduate degree at any of these institutions: University of the Western Cape, University of Fort Hare, University of Limpopo, University of Venda, University of Zululand, Walter Sisulu University or Mangosuthu University of Technology

Applications must be submitted electronically via email to: psadmin@tomorrow.org.za
(Insert the words “Tomorrow Trust Bursary – Your Full Name” in the email subject line).

PLEASE NOTE THE FOLLOWING IMPORTANT INFORMATION:

  • Applications are now open to the 15th April 2021 and late applications will not be accepted.
  • Applicants must be a South African citizen.
  • Applicants must be registered for full time study, must be their first registration towards an Honours/Postgraduate qualification, must be pursuing an Honours Degree in Science, IT, Agriculture, Commerce or Law.
  • Tomorrow Trust does NOT fund Masters and PhD students.
  • Must have completed their undergraduate degree at: University of the Western Cape, Fort Hare, University of Limpopo, University of Venda, Walter Sisulu, the University of Zululand and Mangosuthu University of Technology
  • Applications must be submitted with ALL requested documentation – Incomplete applications will not be considered.
  • Clear copies of all documents must be submitted.
  • Proof of registration and acceptance at University must be supplied before being accepted as a beneficiary of the Tomorrow Trust.

THE FOLLOWING DOCUMENTS MUST BE SUBMITTED WITH YOUR APPLICATION:

1. Copy of your South African ID – must be certified by a Commissioner of Oath.

2. Motivational Letter outlining your background story, why you have chosen your field of study indicated, your interests and achievements, and why you feel you should be selected by the Tomorrow Trust for this opportunity

3. Pay slips or grant slips from all your parents or legal guardians (an affidavit must be produced if a pay slip does not exist)

4. Death certificates (if applicable – an affidavit can also be submitted)

5. If you are in Grade 12, please submit the following additional documents:
a. Grade 11 Report
b. Up to date Grade 12 Report
c. Acceptance letters from the institutions you have applied at
6. If you are currently enrolled at an institution, please submit the following additional documents:
a. A copy of your Matric Certificate
b. Full updated university academic transcript
c. Updated Fee Statement
