Job Description:

Trip recon & Claims

  • Control of Trip reconciliation process by ensuring no long outstanding POD’s, completeness of records, completeness of credit processing
  • Filing & Scanning
  • Investigations & clearing of Claims queries from Central Debtors

Cash Sales & Petty Cash

  • Reconcile Petty Cash daily and ensure balance at all times
  • Prepare PC Journal and PC documents for Head Office submission
  • Daily Cash Sales – ensure cash received matches invoice and issue receipt
  • Process cash transactions on SAP

Admin & Finance duties

  • Control & preparation of Stock Count Allowances
  • Asset verification – twice annually
  • Monthly stock count verification
  • Daily, weekly and monthly reporting as required

Trade Creditors

  • GRV & Invoice verification
  • Processing on SAP
  • Trade creditor recon queries

General

  • Assist with other duties as required – depending of nature of Business Model, i.e. PBCS, PSD, VCS ?
  • Sustainability reports

Competencies Required – Attention to detail.

  • Brilliant at basics.
  • Deadline driven.
  • Drive efficiencies.
  • Customer Relationships
  • Customer Relationships

Internal: Strong interdivisional/interdepartmental liaisons.

External: Liaise with CHEP & external customers

Decision Making Certain level of decision making required. Work to be supervised and reviewed by Admin Controller. If timeous decisions on queries and outstanding issues is not taken, it can result in certain level of financial loss to the Company.

Problem Solving – Needs to resolve all pallet and claims queries timeously. If encountering problems, need to involve Manager

Minimum Requirements

  • Minimum qualification – Matric & Finance Qualification
  • Excel experience – required
  • SAP experience – preferred
  • Minimum 2 years’ relevant experience
